Creswick Natural Fibres is the latest venture for Creswick Woollen Mills. Established in 1947 it remains the last coloured woollen spinning mill of its kind in Australia. It continues today to have a commitment to quality, natural fibre products.

Their extensive knitwear range features all the brands you love, designed by Australian companies with Australia conditions in mind. You’ll find Fields, Bridge & Lord, Toorallie, Emu and Merino Snug in a broad range of sizes from petites to plus sizes, with styles for ladies, men and children. To complement the extensive knitwear range there are gorgeous Alpaca and Cashmere accessories which complete the look.

Visitors will discover some of the luxurious products manufactured at their Creswick-based Mill including Alpaca throws, blankets and accessories woven into sophisticated modern designs. Innovative products also produced by Creswick include the Personal Protection Blankets for the Country Fire Authority (CFA) Victoria and the Rural Fire Service (RFS) New South Wales. Creswick products can be found in David Jones, RM Williams and a range of other quality retailers.

With their signature products made using virtually the same technology since the early 1900’s, Creswick Woollen Mills has been owned by the one family over 65 years. It has evolved into a consumer products company, with the ongoing development of the historic mill as a tourist icon giving visitors a glimpse into a proud textile history.

The historical display, entitled "Our Story" offers visitors a innovative and unique experience where they can view the production of coloured woollen articles and understand the path Wool takes when travelling from the farmgate to the factory floor and then to the store. This display creates an authentic experience which communicates the heritage of the wool industry in Australia and showcases one family's struggle against the great challenges of working within the textile industry.

Creswick Natural Fibres offer a range of events annually which aim to engage tourists to visit Beechworth and experience first hand the Farm & Factory experience. Some of the upcoming events include the "

Cutest Cria (baby alpaca) Competition", the Founders Centennial Birthday, a retrospective of Paul Ryzowy’s extraordinary life, and the 65th Anniversary of Creswick Woollen Mills. In addition, the store looks forward to creating partnerships with local event organsiations to support community events.

Boaz Herszfeld, Executive Director of Creswick Natural Fibres, says that consumers have a greater focus on the impact of their environmental footprint and are looking for ways in which to reduce their carbon imprint. "It’s something our grandparents’ generation did so well, they ate local produce that was in season, they bought clothing from locally made fabrics and they bought products that would last a lifetime".

Visitors to Creswick Woollen Natural Fibres can be assurred that the high range of quality is reflected in not only their luxurious products, but in their commitment to outstanding customer service and experiential tourism offerings.
