Beechworth Town Hall Gardens

Beechworth Town Hall GardensThe Beechworth Town Hall Gardens were designed and laid out by Richard Jenkyns in 1875 with most of the large trees that still remain today having been gifted to Beechworth by Baron Von Mueller, the Victorian Government Botanist of the time. The rotunda was built in 1876 and is a popular venue for Beechworth bands and meetings. The supporting pillars and wrought iron were cast by the local foundry of Staughair and Duncan.

Also located in the Beechworth Town Hall Gardens is the Memorial dedicated to the Men and Women of the Beechworth District who gave their lives in the service of their country. The granite arch was unveiled on April 3rd 1952 and dedicated to Lieutenant-General The Honorable Sir Edmund Francis Herring.
