The Beechworth Chinese Cultural Centre is housed in one of the original goldrush buildings associated with the Chinese community. It is telling the story of the Chinese on the Ovens District Goldfields. The aim of the Chinese Cultural Centre will integrate the role of the Chinese Protector into its theme to develop a new approach to storytelling re the Chinese community.

The Beechworth Chinese Cultural Centre features the contribution the Chinese made to the town/region through their ingenuity and hard work. It actively integrates different features of the town and region ensuring visitors have a varied and different cultural experience beyond the walls of the building.
