Freeman on Ford is the first and only five star accommodation in Beechworth. The owners have been awarded a certificate of commendation from Indigo Shire for their extensive and tasteful renovations of this former Victorian Bank. The building was formerly The Oriental Bank for twenty years and a State Savings Bank for eighty years. For a brief period it was also the second Brigidine Convent in Australia. It has also been used as a private residence and art gallery.

Freeman on Ford can advise guests on limousine and bus tours to regional wineries and walking tours around Beechworth. They can also advise on hiring the Court House for private functions or private trial re-enactments. Secretarial services can also be arranged. They also have safe onsite parking.

They were recently showcased on The Great Outdoors travel show and have had Jennifer Hawkins (Miss World), Keith Potger, (The Seekers) Ken Done and Bruce Beresford (the well sought after international film director (Driving Miss Daisy, Breaker Morant etc) stay. They offer very special accommodation for anniversaries, birthdays, romantic getaways or just simple rest and relaxation.
